I recently had to upgrade my 2nd PC and originally opted for a Celeron D and AOpen AX4SPB-UN motherboard but ran into problems. The AOpen board came with a version of the BIOS which did not support the Celeron D CPU. Hence the PC didnt power up, onto AOpen and they said to upgrade the BIOS to correct version. When I asked how if it doesnt power on, they replied with, "loan a friends CPU or buy one which is supported by the current BIOS version. Then upgrade the BIOS and replace CPU with the Celeron D you originally purchased".

I thought to myself, AMD has always work for me 1st time, so if I gotta spend money, goodbye Intel and hello again AMD.

But which to buy, the new Sempron or the old Barton based XP. In my investigations for speed and performance I came across an excellent site which had done the hard work of benchmarking for me.

After around 4 months of work and constant enviromental problems with servers built by our Tech Dept we finally released LARS. A new ASP.Net based application used by our **** department allow realtime ratings management system.

Consisting of :

• ASP.Net Web User Interface with numerous custom controls
• Custom role based security layer
• Custom Business Process Engine (.Net C#)
• Custom Data Access Layer (.Net C#)
• Around 150 stored procedures
• Custom webservice talking to SAS Models

Just over 120,000 lines of code.
