Microsoft and Sony Agree PS3 Expensive For Most
Will wonders never cease as Peter Moore, agrees with Sony the PS3 will be an expensive machine purchase. Sony President, last week admitted the aim of the PS3 now being positioned as an ultra powerful, but conversely premium priced machine.
Microsoft on the other hand is touting the Xbox 360 would be affordable and an announcement is imminent. Like CVG I also agree the announcement will be at the Games Covention in Leipzig, Germany, which runs from August 17-21.

PS3 To Be Expensive Admits Sony President
I read a surprise article today, where president on Sony, Ken Kutaragi warned the PS3 will not be cheap.
"…the PS3 can't be offered at a price that's targeted towards households."
This seems a little short sited to me aswell as who are the aim it at then? Do must know the kids dont have the money, so perhaps they believe mum and dads are happy to shell out so much for there kids. A 10 year life cycle it may have, but more people today want benefits right away, especially when forkin out so much dosh for the technologies.
I see it now, hey buy our PS3 the most powerful console on the planet, but next year were bring out the DVDs which will play on it and the year after you get get an affordable LCDTV which will show it true digital picture quality...and so on.

Xbox 360 Pricing Rumor, but Official soon
Every since E3 the Xbox 360 pricing has been rumoured from $250-$400, but today a new news source rumours seeing poster in Walmart in the US quoting prices of $299.96 and games such as Project Gotham Racing 3 at $59.99.
The rumour pricing of the games seems a little high as Play.com have pre-order prices for most games including PGR3, Gears of War and Kameo set at £39.99 per game.
With only 16 weeks until the expected launch of the console on 29th November, I am expecting the final pricing to be announced at the Games Convention in Leipzig, Germany, which runs from August 17-21.
My personal view is pricing around the £299 for the first generation machines and then 1st quarter 2006 will see a 2nd generation version of the console released with the recently licensed HD-DVD drive technology. AS for the games, I would expect to match Xbox launch titles of around the £39.99 price range, coming down over time to settle at £34.99 and £29.99.
Be sure as soon as the official statement come out I will post here.

Unreal Tournament 2007 Shows Its Face and What a Face
Epic has finally released first details and in-game shots of its next Unreal Tournament title, UT 2007. As you can see from the first image, you at first think its CGI, but it is in fact a real-time image of one of the characters from the game. The further proof of this is from the other two shots of the character in game along with weapon and scenery and a second in-game character.

These shots were taken when TeamXbox.com went for there very on hands on the game at Epics game studios. For the full low down on the game, full high-res shots and there first impressions head over to the article at TeamXbox.com.

Xbox 360 Beta Dev Kits Now in Devs Hands
TeamXbox.com has reported today the beta development kits for the
Xbox 360 have finally arrived and are in Xbox 360 game developers
hands. This is a major step forward, as this is the first time
developers have had actual Xbox 360 hardware to develop and test their
titles on.
I am sure in the coming weeks and months we will see much more new
footage with the words "in game and running on actual Xbox 360
hardware". Only time will tell if the hype we have heard and seen
is real or not.
