Microsoft has gone with a similar look and feel to its highly successful Media Center look and feel for the consoles Xbox Marketplace and Xbox Media Guides.  The shots below from the BBC website, show how you will access online demos, new content, your pictures, music and best of all access the Media Center recorded shows and content.

I finally cut out the rest of the MTV show from the US showing last night and have just the quick two minutes clip of the games in action previews which was shown.  I have kept the clip in MPEG 1 format to allow all to see with no codecs required.  Once I record the UK version of the show tonight, I will publish a full version in high and low quality for all.

The new wireless controllers for the Xbox 360 have a unique feature, the logo on the controllers is more than just the consoles logo this time round.  The logo is in fact the Guide Button and has a number of features.  It is on both the wireless and wired controllers  allowing the gamer to bringup the Xbox Gamer Guide and the Xbox System Guide aswell as give you the power to turn the console on and off without ever leaving your comfortable gaming position (sofa, armchair or even the bed) - excellent move Microsoft.

As predict last year, the next generation Xbox rumour of accessing you Media Center PC and streaming the footage to the Xbox is now official.  Reading the UK Xbox 360 site here, it clearly states:

"Xbox 360 also opens the door to incredible new high-definition  entertainment. Experience Xbox 360 games in HD. Stream HD television and movies straight from your Windows Media Center Edition PC to your Xbox 360."

So no more sitting in my front room watching those recorded TV shows, but now the comfort of the nice bedroom with a nice LCD HD TV and a wireless controller Xbox 360.  Bring on E3 next week and show me more of those highly anticipated games!
