New Film for 2006 - Eragon

Whilst doing my usual weekday browsing for new films coming soon, I discovered a new fantasy film based on the best selling novels by Christopher Paolini, Eragon. The film, like the books is a dragon-themed tale and nearing the final stages of production.

Not much is known about the films details but some big name actors are involved as you can see from the first full film poster below.

The film is due December 2006 so we should see one or two trailers soon.

New Trailer of Action Air Fighter Film Stealth

Whilst delving around the film sites the weekend I found a new aircraft action film, Stealth, starring Jessica Biel (from Blade III), Jamie Foxx (Max from Collateral) and Josh Lucas.

In the near future, the Navy develops a fighter jet piloted by an artificial intelligence computer. The jet is placed on an aircraft carrier in the Pacific to learn combat manuevers from the human pilots aboard. But when the computer develops a mind of its own, it's the humans who are charged with stopping it before it incites a war.

This films reminds me of a cross between Top gun and 2001 (HAL in particular). To view the first trailer of click here.

New Sci-Fi Film - The Island

Whilst looking up new sci-fi films, I came across a new film starring Ewan Mcgregor called The Island. Ewans character, Lincoln resides in the town of Centreville where he hopes to win the daily lottery of a ticket to the only non-contaminated place on Earth, The Island. He soon discovers that his world is a sham and Centerville houses clones to help rich benefactors remain healthy.

War of The Worlds First Film Footage At Superbowl

Fox has just annouced the first real film footage for War Of The Worlds will shown at this years Superbowl on the 6-Feb. The footage should last around 30 seconds and is taken direct from the film.

Keep you eyes on the net for nice americans who capture and release it for us non-US to see and enjoy also.

Fantastic Four Trailer Now Released

At last the release of the trailer to the latest Marvel film, Fantastic Four starring Jessica Alba as the Invisible Woman (Susan Storm), Michael Chiklis as The Thing (Ben Grimm), Ioan Gruffudd as Mr. Fantastic (Reed Richard) and Chris Evans as The Human Torch (Johnny Storm).

Plot - When an experimental space voyage goes awry, four people are changed by cosmic rays. Reed Richards, inventor and leader of the group gains the ability to stretch his body, and takes the name, Mr. Fantastic. His girlfriend, Sue Storm, gains the ability to turn invisible and create force fields, calling herself the Invisible Woman. Her younger brother Johnny Storm gains the ability to control fire, including covering his own body with flame, becoming the Human Torch. Pilot Ben Grimm is turned into a super-strong rock creature calling himself Thing. Together, they use their unique powers to explore the strange aspects of the world, and to foil the evil plans of Doctor Doom.
