Babylon 5 MMPORG On The Horizon?
The creator of the fantastic (imho) sci-fi series Babylon 5, J Michael Straczynski is hinting a massive multi-player role playing game is in the works.
This incredible news comes from a recent new item on CVG website and I will be watching this news very closeley. Extract from thearticle to tickle your senses is as follows:
Speaking in a recent interview the Bablyon 5 supremo said: "Every year or so, makes noises about a Babylon 5 game and it's making them again this year. The Babylon 5 universe is almost tailor-made for a game, especially an immersive, online experience."

Rockstar Games Bullying Implications
Rockstar Games is again in the press after various world oganisations have been attempting to disway them from developing there new game, Bully. Rockstar is touting the game as nothing more violent that the old child TV series, Just William back in the 1980s.
However, the UKs Bullying Online charity and various other worldwide child welfare organisation are shocked such a sensitive issue as child bullying is being used for cheap laughs and to make money.

Gothic III Shows Incredible Next RPG Images

sequel, Gothic III has been shown for the first time with some of the
most incredible RPG screens I have every seen. It reminds me of
those days you dream when graphics make a game a near reality and wish
for an RPG with a high level of detail.

Duke Nuken Forever, Finally
Some good news finally, that Duke Nukem Forever will be shown and
released, but not until E3 2006. So some way off then you may
well think. Lucky for us, PC Gamer this month has been given 20
minutes watching the game in actions and speaks of it first impressions.

Even more surprising was 3D Realms announcement they have nearly
finished Prey (a game previously canned) and some of the images look
like it may even rival Half Life 2.
Personally I am going to grab a copy of June issue of the magazine and will let you know more once I have read through it.

Midway to Use Unreal Engine 3 For Its Next Gen Games
Midway today announced the licensing of the Unreal Engine 3 for
development of games for the next generation of consoles and PCs.
As you can see from the screenshot of what the Unreal Engine 3 can
produce in realtime, imagine what a whole game built on this game
engine technology would look like.

David F. Zucker, president and chief executive officer had this to say about the licensing deal:
"Great next generation games will be defined by how far they push the envelope in terms of graphical prowess, evolved artificial intelligence and revolutionary online functionality beyond what gamers are currently experiencing," said David F. Zucker, president and chief executive officer of Midway. "Our obtaining the use of Unreal Engine 3 empowers us to begin today to produce great next generation content. Our internal studios are already in the process of creating incredible products with the Unreal Engine 3 technology in multiple genres."
